Stamp collecting is the gathering of different postage stamps and related bits and pieces which include covers like envelopes, packages or parcels with stamps on it. It is considered to be a painless hobby.  In order words, it is called Philately which refers to a very satisfying leisure pursuit because it greatly increases the extensive proficiency of the stamp collector.

Stamp collecting is an extraordinary blend of the prearranged and the shapeless leisure pursuit wherein every individual can make it a unique pastime that will not be like everyone else's. For many centuries until now, stamp collecting has been appreciated and loved by many people around the world.  Moreover, philatelist and ordinary stamps collectors have a propensity to be just as interested in old stamps as new ones.
